Romelu Lukaku gives update on his future with Chelsea keen on selling him

Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has admitted that he doubts his prospective move to Juventus will go through this summer, leaving his future in doubt.

Lukaku spent last season on loan at Inter Milan and he was expected to join the Italians in a permanent deal this summer with Chelsea keen on selling the 30 year old striker and not willing to accept a loan deal.

However, Inter Milan backed out from the deal to sign Lukaku after it emerged the striker was in talks with Inter Milan rival Juventus.

Recent reports have now claimed Juventus want Lukaku on loan with an option to buy at the end of the season but Chelsea aren’t interested in that proposal.

After being confronted by an Inter supporter outside the Brussels sports centre where he is currently training, the 30-year-old appeared to downplay suggestions that he’s heading to Juventus.

Unsurprisingly, Lukaku was reluctant to talk at length about the matter when asked whether he’s off to Inter’s Serie A rivals. But what he did say was telling — smiling and shaking his head as he climbed into his car, the Belgian striker was recorded saying: “No, no… I don’t think the deal will be done.”
