According to reports in Spain via GOAL, Chelsea are interested in signing Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde after the Blues had an £80million bid for Moises Caicedo rejected by Brighton.

With Brighton demanding £100million for Caicedo, Chelsea are ready to test Real Madrid’s resolve to hold onto Valverde by offering £112million for the 25 year old Uruguayan midfielder.

The report also adds that Real Madrid hace already rejected an £69m offer from Liverpool and two £86m offers from Saudi Arabia, highlighting Valverde’s importance to their squad.

Meanwhile, Kai Havertz has revealed Arsenal’s style of football suits him better than Chelsea’s style of football.

When asked how things are at Arsenal so far, Kai Havertz told ESPN: “It is a completely different style of football than what we played at Chelsea.

“I think it’s a style that suits me very well.

“Of course, it always takes a bit of a while to get used to that again.

“I am two-and-a-half weeks here. It is going to take some time, but I am giving everything to try to perform on a high level.”
