Chelsea have internally decided on targeting Brighton Robert Sánchez this summer, according to Nathan Gissing.

The Blues reportedly want to sign the Brighton goalkeeper to provide competition for Kepa Arrizabalaga.

No contact has been made with the goalkeeper or Brighton yet but that could change in the coming weeks after the decision was made by Chelsea hierarchy to sign the Spaniard to provide competition for Kepa.

Sanchez was highly rated before losing his starting spot at Brighton last season under Roberto De Zerbi. His arrival would presumably mean a loan departure for Gabriel Slonina, who at the moment looks like out best long term option in goal.
