The agent of Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has revealed the Cameroon international rejected Chelsea and Tottenham to join Manchester United.
The 27-year-old completed a £44million move to Old Trafford last week, and he made his debut in a 2-0 defeat to Real Madrid on Wednesday night in the USA.
“It all started a few months ago,” said Albert Botines, the agent of Onana.
“Towards April, many inquired about the player. Tottenham have asked for information, Chelsea have had a very strong interest.
“There were meetings in London and Chelsea also met with Inter, but ten Hag was key.
“We are looking forward to facing great managers like Guardiola and trying to win titles with Manchester United.”
