Despite being in negotiations with Brighton for several weeks, Chelsea is yet to reach an agreement with Brighton for the transfer of Ecuador international Moises Caicedo.
According to GOAL, Chelsea’s pursuit of Caicedo is at an impasse, with the two clubs still some way apart in their valuations.
Brighton is demanding £100 million ($128m) for the 21-year-old midfielder while Chelsea isn’t willing to pay that much for the midfielder. Chelsea’s last offer for Caicedo was £70million.
Aside from being apart in their valuations of Caicedo, Brighton is also pushing to have Blues academy graduate Levi Colwill included in the deal, following his impressive loan spell at the Amex Stadium last season.
However, Chelsea have no intention to sell the 20 year old centre-back and had a £30million bid from Brighton for the defender rejected in June.
Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino believes Colwill is destined to become one of the best centre-backs in England and the Blues won’t consider selling the centre-back.
It has been reported that the Blues are considering alternatives to Caicedo.
