Chelsea rejects West Ham’s £40million bid for Chelsea star

According to Evening Standard, Chelsea have rejected West Ham’s £40million bid for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher.

West Ham submitted an initial fee of £37m plus £3m in add-ons for the Chelsea academy graduate which has now been rejected by Chelsea and the report claims West Ham are unwilling to raise their offer.

Gallagher is also attracting interest from Tottenham Hotspur and would be open to leaving Stamford Bridge having been offered out to clubs for the last six months.

Chelsea accepted a £45million bid from Everton for Gallagher in January but Gallagher was unwilling to move to Goodison Park and it is believed Chelsea won’t accept offers less than the £45million that Everton were willing to pay in January.

The England midfielder has just two years left on his contract and hasn’t been offered a new deal.

Chelsea want to replace Gallagher with Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo but have struggled to make progress in talks.
