West Ham submit £40million bid for Chelsea star

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, West Ham have submitted a £40million bid for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher.

Romano tweeted: “West Ham have submitted official bid for Conor Gallagher. Proposal in the region of £40m.

“Chelsea have not sent official answer yet as discussions will take place in the next hours/days.”

Meanwhile, according to Evening Standard, Chelsea star Conor Gallagher is ready to leave Chelsea after being deemed surplus to requirements, with ­Tottenham and West Ham leading the fight for his signature.

The 23-year-old midfielder have been deemed surplus to requirements by Chelsea despite the midfielder scoring in their last two pre-season wins over Brighton and Wrexham.

Gallagher has made a total of 45 first team appearances for Chelsea and has spent time out on loan at various clubs, including Crystal Palace, where he was named the club’s Player of the Year for the 2021-22 season after impressing in the top-flight.
