Chelsea have received a huge boost in the club’s interest in signing Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo after the Ecuador international removed Brighton from his bio section on Instagram.
Caicedo, 21, is a major target for Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino this summer but the Blues have so far failed to agree a fee with Brighton.
Brighton are playing hardball over Caicedo’s future, despite promising him a summer exit after rejecting bids for the midfielder in January.
Chelsea have already had two offers turned down this month, with the latest worth £70million.
Brighton value Caicedo at over £100m, and are using Declan Rice’s £105m move from West Ham to Arsenal as a guide.
Caicedo is said to be unhappy with Brighton’s stance and has now made his feeling known after removing ‘Brighton’ from his Instagram bio.
