Arsenal ready to challenge Chelsea for transfer of Premier League star

According to 90min, Arsenal are ready to challenge Chelsea for the transfer of Crystal Palace star Michael Olise.

Treble winners Manchester City are also interested in signing the 21 year old French winger.

The France Under-21 international signed for Palace back in July 2021, signing from Reading for £8.37m, and has quickly become one of the best young players in the Premier League.

The Blues’ firm interest follows Olise’s record-busting campaign for Premier League assists.

He was fourth in the 2022-23 Prem list on 11, behind Manchester City playmaker Kevin de Bruyne, Arsenal wideman Leandro Trossard and Liverpool striker Mo Salah.

Olise became the youngest player to tee up three Prem goals from open play in one match when Palace came from behind to win 5-1 at Leeds on April 9. And on May 13 he became the first Eagle to achieve ten Prem assists in one season.

90min adds that Chelsea are confident of getting a deal done for the talented attacking midfielder. That is in large part thanks to the fact that the club already have a relationship with the Olise family as Michael’s younger brother, Richard Olise, is currently on the books at Stamford Bridge.
