According to Nathan Gissing, Chelsea’s technical director Christopher Vivell has left Chelsea despite only joining the club last December.
The 36 year old, who joined Chelsea from RB Leipzig in December, is currently understood to be serving his gardening leave period.
There was board-level restructure at Stamford Bridge after the January transfer window that resulted in Vivell reporting to Laurence Stewart and Paul Winstanley.
Vivell originally came in at a more senior role than the duo.
Chelsea’s co-owners are big fans of the work that Stewart and Winstanley have been doing and that has proven to be a big factor in Vivell’s departure.
