According to Daily Mail, Chelsea have joined the race to sign 18 year old Japanese striker Keisuke Goto.

Goto, regarded as the best teenage talent in Japan, plays for Jubilo Iwata and has already attracted attention from West Ham while European clubs such as Ajax, Feyenoord and Sevilla have also registered their interest.

The 6ft 3ins striker would have figured for Japan at the World U20 Championships but picked up an injury just before the tournament started.

Chelsea believe the 18 year old striker has the physical attributes and skill to make it in England.

Goto has a style similar to Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.
