According to a report on Metro, Chelsea are considering a move for Manchester United defender Harry Maguire who is now keen on leaving Old Trafford this summer.

Maguire was intent on fighting for his place at Old Trafford after falling down the pecking order under Erik ten Hag last season.

However, Ten Hag has now stripped Maguire of the United captaincy ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

Maguire is reportedly ‘angry, shocked and upset’ following Ten Hag’s decision to strip him of the Manchester United captaincy.

The report adds that Maguire is ready to leave Manchester United this summer and Chelsea are among the clubs interested alongside West Ham, Tottenham and Newcastle United.
