According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea striker David Datro Fofana is one step away from joining German club Union Berlin on loan.

Romano tweeted: “David Datro Fofana, one step away from joining Union Berlin on loan. Chelsea and Union are at final stages of negotiation, as called by BILD.

“Loan deal won’t include any buy option clause. Final green light from the player is now expected soon.”

Transfer expert Florian Plettenberg has also confirmed Fofana is close to joining Union Berlin on loan.

Plettenberg tweeted: “David Fofana, on verge to join Union Berlin – confirmed! Loan without an option to buy!

“Talks about the 20 year old striker from Chelsea ongoing and positive. All parties involved are confident to finalize the deal soon.”
