Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has warned he is ‘not giving players the opportunity to waste time’ as he aims to take the Blues up the table.
“In football there is no patience,” Pochettino said. “You can’t ask for time at a club like Chelsea, you must deliver from day one.
“I’m not giving players the opportunity to waste time. We need to give our best from the start. We are going to have a squad that can deliver.”
Meanwhile, according to 90min, Real Madrid and Federico Valverde are not looking to part ways this summer amid interest from Chelsea.
Real Madrid have insisted the 24 year old midfielder isn’t for sale despite arrival of Jude Bellingham and Arda Guler, and the ongoing possibity of also signing PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe.
Real Madrid consider Valverde as an important player and point to the fact he has a €1bn release clause in his current contract that runs until 2027.
Enquiries from Chelsea for the Uruguayan midfielder has been dismissed immediately by Real Madrid. Liverpool and Manchester City have also had enquiries for Valverde dismissed by Real Madrid.
