According to talkSPORT, Premier League side Brighton are still interested in signing Chelsea centre-back Levi Colwill and are ready to break their transfer record by paying £40million for the 20 year old.
It was believed Brighton have given up on signing Colwill and have now moved to sign Ajax defender and Nigerian international Bassey but Talksport insist Brighton remain interested in signing Colwill.
Colwill impressed on loan at Brighton last season and despite Brighton’s willingness to pay £40million to sign the centre-back on a permanent deal, Chelsea insist he is not for sale.
Meanwhile, Colwill wants talks with Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino over his future at the club, according to Daily Mail.
