New Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has vowed to bring happiness back to Chelsea.
The Blues finished 12th in the Premier League on 44 points last season, mustering only 11 wins from 38 matches.
Pochettino, 51, said: “We want to bring happiness again to this great football club.
“The history of Chelsea is to win but it’s important the way we are going to build those victories.
“In the last 10, 12, 15 years, Chelsea is the greatest team in England. I want to make it feel really exciting to work with our very young team and we can build the success in the next few years.”
Pochettino is relishing the opportunity to improve the club’s talented young players.
“The expectation is for us to first of all create a platform for them to feel very comfortable at the training ground.
“They need to have their space and feel important.
“Our expertise is to give Chelsea the best tools for the players to be successful, to improve in an individual and collective way, and I think we have the experience and together we can create a fantastic journey.
“If we are all together we are going to be really strong because we have an unbelievable squad and we are going to bring players with commitment that want to be part of it.”
