Chelsea have submitted a €60million (£52million) bid for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic but the offer has been rejected by the Italian side, according to Corriere della Sera.

Chelsea will have to raise the club’s offer if they are to convince Juventus of parting ways with Vlahovic. The Italian giants would only consider a figure of €70 million or above.

The paper adds that incoming Juventus director Cristiano Giuntoli will travel alongside the club’s sporting director Giovanni Manna to London to hold face-to-face talks with Chelsea to find a solution.

Vlahovic joined Juventus in January 2022 for £66.6m and has scored 23 goals in 63 matches for the Italian giants.

Journalist Rudy Galetti reported in June that new Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino wants Vlahovic and considers him the ideal striker:

“I was told a week ago Pochettino wants him, considering him the ideal striker for his tactical idea, however, the Blues have to pay attention to the competition,” he said.

“Bayern Munich in fact are increasing the pressure on Dusan, targeted as their priority to strengthen the attack. Anyway, in general, Dusan would like to leave Juventus after this last difficult season, and that’s why an original agreement on personal terms we deem shouldn’t be so difficult.”
