
Mauricio Pochettino’s era as Chelsea boss has officially started today, July 1st 2023.
Chelsea confirmed the appointment of the former Tottenham manager last month and that was after a lengthy spell of increasing speculation that he was the man to take the role.
Pochettino will arrive at Cobham on Monday before taking his first training session of the 23/24 season on Tuesday.
Pochettino will have exactly two weeks to drill his players at Cobham before Chelsea fly to the United States for their pre-season tour.
Chelsea are set to fly to Raleigh, North Carolina on July 17 before conducting a training session the following day and facing Wrexham in Chapel Hill on July 19.
While based in Philadelphia, the Blues then face Brighton, Newcastle and Fulham in the Premier League’s inaugural Summer Series.
Chelsea conclude our tour with a final match against Borussia Dortmund in Chicago on August 2 and will fly back to London immediately after the match.
