Chelsea midfielder Charlie Webster will join Dutch top-flight side SC Heerenveen on loan for the 2023/24 season.

This will be the first spell away from Chelsea for the 19 year old midfielder.

Webster joined Chelsea’s Academy as an Under-10 and has been with the club ever since. He has featured regularly for our Academy sides, as well as representing England at various youth levels.

The midfielder now has the chance of top-flight experience with De Superfriezen, who finished eighth in the Eredivisie last season.

Webster spent last season with our development squad under head coach Mark Robinson and was a key part of the side which finished the Premier League 2 season in third place.
