According to Relevo, Chelsea are interested in signing Barcelona midfielder and Ivory Coast international Franck Kessie.

The 26-year-old midfielder, who only joined Barcelona last summer from AC Milan, has been made available for a transfer as Barcelona look to raise capital from player sales and reduce their wage bill.

Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing the midfielder after losing midfielders like N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek this summer. The Blues could lose the likes of Conor Gallagher and Mason Mount in the coming weeks.

Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino likes Kessie a lot and would love to bring the Barcelona midfielder to Stamford Bridge as he seeks to strengthen the Chelsea midfield this summer.

Kessie is also attracting interest from Saudi Arabia, with Al Ahli even tabling a €20 million offer for the Barcelona star.

But the Catalans are understood to be looking for around €30 million for their midfielder and there is an expectation that Al Ahli will make an improved offer soon.
