Former Premier League goalkeeper Brad Friedel has urged Chelsea to sign New England Revolution goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic.
The Serbia international was drafted in to replace Matt Turner following his move to Arsenal last year and is already regarded as the best goalkeeper in the MLS.
England Revolution value the 23 year old goalkeeper at £24million and Friedel believes he would start at Chelsea ahead of Kepa Arrizabalaga.
“I think Djordje Petrovic should be on the radar of Premier League clubs,” Friedel told OLBG.
“He could start right now for pretty much any team in Europe, although he has a learning curve of course.
“From what I have seen of him, there has been no better goalkeeper in MLS for a long time.
He continued: “I think Petrovic is good enough to start for Man Utd and Chelsea.
“People are talking about Man Utd’s goalkeeper situation a lot, but I’m not sure they have the budget right now for the keepers being mentioned in the papers.”
