According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano via Daily Mail, Chelsea have reached full agreement on personal terms with Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo.
Chelsea will now need to agree on a fee with Brighton to complete the transfer of Caicedo and bring the Ecuadorian midfielder to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are now planning to step up talks for Caicedo after a £60million offer was rejected two weeks ago, with the Seagulls seeking more than £80million for their star man.
Brighton are notoriously hard negotiators and are unlikely to budge on their valuation.
A move for the Ecuadorian midfielder comes after N’Golo Kante completed his move to Al-Ittihad, while Mateo Kovacic is closing in on an exit to Manchester City and Mason Mount is expected to join Manchester United this summer.
New Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino sees Caicedo as the ideal midfield partner for Enzo Fernandez.
