Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed Premier League rivals Liverpool have entered the race to sign Chelsea transfer target and Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia.

Arsenal are also interested in signing the 19 year old Belgium midfielder, with the Gunners seeing him as a cheaper alternative to Moises Caicedo.

Romano reports that Liverpool have now opened talks with Lavia as they look to strengthen in midfield. Chelsea are not currently actively pursuing a deal for the Southampton teenager, despite previous links.

Meanwhile, according to a report on Tribal Football, Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo is only keen on joining Chelsea despite interest from Manchester United and Arsenal.

The report states: “Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo has assured Chelsea he wants to join them.

“Caicedo is also a target for Arsenal and Manchester United.

“Brighton want £80m to sell the Ecuador international, with talks underway over his sale to Chelsea.

“And Caicedo has let it be known to Chelsea that they remain his priority.

“Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports Caicedo will not consider anyother offer.

“Caicedo has almost agreed personal terms with Chelsea and a formal bid is expected in the coming days.”
