According to Daily Mail, Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek is close to joining Italian club AC Milan, with negotiations between both clubs in an advanced stage.

Chelsea are looking to trim the squad following Todd Boehley’s £600million outlay on new recruits last season, and it’s already seen a number of players exit the club.

N’Golo Kante and Kalidou Kouilbaly have both left for the Saudi Pro League, with Edouard Mendy expected to follow, while there remain on-going talks with Manchester United over the sale of Mason Mount.

Loftus-Cheek now looks set to leave the club for AC Milan in a deal worth £13million.

Loftus-Cheek has made over 200 appearances for the Blues since making his debut in 2014, scoring 16 goals. He has ten caps for England.

AC Milan finished fourth last season and can offer Loftus-Cheek Champions League football – unlike the Blues who only ended the Premier League season in 12th.
