According to Manchester Evening News, Manchester United are unhappy with Chelsea’s conduct during negotiations for the transfer of Mason Mount.
The report claims Manchester United are unhappy with Chelsea for leaking word of their failed £55 million ($70m) bid for Mount.
Manchester United submitted a third offer of £55million – £50million guaranteed plus £5million in add-ons – but Chelsea rejected the offer, demanding for £65million.
Manchester United believe Chelsea are overvaluing Mount, 24, as he is out of contract next year and wants to leave. United’s bargaining position is weakened by a tight budget they do not want to compromise amid their intention to sign a striker.
Manchester United reportedly have four other midfield targets to turn to but Mount is manager Erik ten Hag’s preferred option.
