According to the Guardian, 23 year old Chelsea forward Kai Havertz has informed Chelsea that he wants to leave the club this summer amid interest from Arsenal and Bayern Munich.

Chelsea are willing to sell the 23-year-old German international and are demanding £70million for the transfer of Havertz.

Arsenal are confident Chelsea’s need to sell after spending £600million in the last two two transfer windows will force the Blues to accept £60million for Havertz.

Havertz, who joined Chelsea for £62.5m three years ago, has two years left on his Chelsea contract and he does not intend to sign an extension. Chelsea have a policy of selling players with two years or less in their contracts.

Arsenal are ready to match Havertz’s current wages, which are around £220,000 a week, according to the Guardian.

Arsenal’s move for Havertz has been complicated by Bayern Munich entering the race for the German international.

Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel, who worked with Havertz at Chelsea, wants to reunite with the German international at Bayern Munich. The German side have already made contact with Havertz’s camp.
