According to the Athletic, Chelsea had a £60million bid for Ecuadorian midfielder Moises Caicedo rejected by Brighton two weeks ago.

Chelsea are keen on signing the 21 year old midfielder this summer but intend to be disciplined with their valuation. The Blues are studying multiple alternatives to Caicedo should an agreement not be reached with Brighton.

Southampton’s Romeo Lavia, Borussia Monchengladbach’s Manu Kone, AC Milan’s Sandro Tonali, and Inter Milan’s Nicolo Barella are the alternatives to Caicedo that Chelsea are looking at.
