According to Sky Sports journalist Angelo Mangiante, Chelsea star Kai Havertz is close to joining Premier League rivals Arsenal.
Real Madrid were previously interested in signing Havertz but have backed out as they are unwilling to pay Chelsea’s asking price of £70million. Real Madrid were only willing to pay £40 million for the 24-year-old Chelsea attacker.
Mangiante said: “Kai Havertz is very close to Arsenal. A player of great class who left his mark with his decisive goals in the trophies won with #Chelsea & Tuchel.”
Meanwhile, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea star Kai Havertz has told Arsenal he is ready to join them this summer.
The Germany international has two years left on his contract at Stamford Bridge and has shown no indication he is ready to committing to a new deal.
With Havertz reluctant to extend his Chelsea contract, the Blues are open to selling him this summer for the right price.
Romano said: “Understand Kai Havertz has given green light to Arsenal contract bid after positive indications. No problem on personal terms.
“Arsenal & Chelsea in contact — no chance for £75m but Chelsea will be flexible.
“Bayern, informed… but still quiet. Real Madrid 100% out of the race.”
