According to a report on talkSPORT, Chelsea are ready to use defender Kalidou Koulibaly as a makeweight in the club’s quest to sign Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana.

The report adds: “Chelsea are ready to offer Kalidou Koulibaly to Inter Milan as part of their quest to sign goalkeeper Andre Onana.”

Despite only being with Inter Milan since last summer, Onana, 27, has seen his stock rise immensely. Widely regarded as one of the best keepers in Europe, Chelsea are keen on signing the goalkeeper this summer.

According to The Times, Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana is high on Chelsea’s list of transfer targets this summer.

The 27 year old Cameroonian joined Inter Milan from Ajax as a free agent last summer and have caught the eye this season following an impressive season for Inter Milan.

The report on The Times adds: “Onana was part of the Inter team beaten by Manchester City in the Champions League final on Saturday and, now that the season has concluded, will address his future.

“Chelsea have not closed the door on Kepa Arrizabalaga starting the new Premier League season as first-choice goalkeeper under Mauricio Pochettino, but Édouard Mendy is expected to leave.

“Chelsea want a goalkeeper highly skilled in distribution, a skill which Onana has displayed at both Inter and Ajax, whom he left last summer after six seasons.

“AC Milan’s Mike Maignan is also among the potential targets and Chelsea have already been in talks with the club over the sale of Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

“Onana is valued by Inter at about £50 million.”
