Should Chelsea fail to sign Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana this summer, Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino is happy to use Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga as his first-choice goalkeeper next season, according to Sky Sports via Evening Standard.
The report adds: “Mauricio Pochettino is happy to go into next season with Kepa Arrizabalaga as his first-choice goalkeeper.
“Sky Sports report that while there have been linked with Andre Onana and Robert Sanchez, Chelsea are not prioritising a big-money signing in goal.
“They may look to make a signing if Edouard Mendy leaves this summer, though that would be for a back-up to Kepa.”
Meanwhile, according to journalist Rudy Galetti, Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has made midfielder Moises Caicedo his first choice signing for Chelsea this summer.
Brighton are reportedly demanding for a fee of £80million for the Ecuador midfielder.
Galetti said: “Chelsea are working with Brighton to reach an agreement for Caicedo, confirmed. No issues expected on personal terms side.
“As told, the Colombian midfielder is the main target for Pochettino: the new Chelsea manager considers him the ideal player to strengthen the midfield.”
