Arsenal ready to sign Chelsea transfer target for £92million in the next few days

According to Football Insider, Premier League rivals Arsenal are ready to sign Chelsea transfer target and West Ham captain Declan Rice for £92million in the next few days.

Rice, who left the Chelsea academy for West Ham, is a transfer target for Chelsea but Arsenal are currently leading the race for the England international.

West Ham owners David Sullivan admitted in the aftermath of the club winning the Europa Conference League that the 24-year-old has likely played his last game for West Ham after being “promised” he could leave this summer.

Football Insider also revealed that Rice has agreed to join Arsenal despite interest from Chelsea, with the midfielder keen on remaining in London.

There is already a verbal agreement in place on terms, although a fee for the West Ham star has yet to be agreed by the two clubs.

Rice is out of contract at the London Stadium next year (2024) – although the Irons have the option to extend his stay a further 12 months.

With Chelsea set to miss out on the transfer of Rice, the Blues are ready to push for the transfer of Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo this summer after failing to sign the Ecuador midfielder in January.
