Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed Manchester United are preparing to submit an opening bid for Chelsea star Mason Mount.

Previous reports have claimed Mount has already agreed personal terms with Manchester United ahead of a move this summer.

According to Romano, Manchester United are preparing their opening bid for Mount but the main issue remains Chelsea’s position on price tag.

The transfer expert adds that “Manchester United remain calm as Mount’s keen on the move — strategy game on”.

Chelsea are reportedly not willing to negotiate the transfer fee for Mount and are demanding Manchester United pay £70million for the England international or forget about signing him.

Chelsea are demanding £70million for Mount to join Manchester United this summer despite the England international having just one year left on his contract.

According to The Telegraph, Manchester United believe £50million is a fair price for Mount.
