Chelsea leading Arsenal in race to sign £80million South American star

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are leading Premier League rivals Arsenal in the race to sign Ecuadorian midfielder and Brighton star Moises Caicedo.

Romano adds that Chelsea consider Caicedo as the perfect player for Chelsea under new boss Mauricio Pochettino.

Romano also added that Brighton want between £70million to £80million for the transfer of Caicedo and the midfielder hasn’t agreed personal terms with any club.

Meanwhile, according to Daily Mail, Chelsea want a younger squad and have identified Caicedo as an ideal replacement for N’Golo Kante in the squad.

Kante is close to agreeing terms to join Saudi Arabian outfit Al Ittihad which will see him earn €100million per year.
