According to The Guardian, Chelsea star Kai Havertz has told the club he wants to leave this summer amid interest from Spanish side Real Madrid.
Real Madrid regard Havertz as a potential replacement for Karim Benzema, who has joined Al-Ittihad on a free transfer.
Havertz has two years left on his Chelsea contract and according to The Guardian, Chelsea will demand £75million for the Germany international.
Havertz, who can play as a No 10 or a false 9, joined Chelsea from Bayer Leverkusen in 2020 for £72million despite interest from Real Madrid.
Havertz was regarded as one of the world’s brightest talents and there was plenty of hype when he arrived in England but he has not quite lived up to expectations. His best position remains unclear.
His time at Chelsea will be remembered for his winner in the Champions League final against City in 2021. He also scored the decisive goal when Chelsea beat Palmeiras in the Club World Cup final in February 2022.
Please, quicken Kai’s movement if he wants to leave. He’s not cut for the premier league.
