According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Premier League side Brighton are not giving up on signing Chelsea centre-back Levi Colwill.

Brighton have already seen a £30million bid for Colwill rejected by Chelsea and are now preparing a club record £40million for the 20 year old Chelsea centre-back.

Colwill impressed on loan at Brighton this season under Roberto De Zerbi and the Italian tactician is keen on signing the 20 year old centre-back this summer permanently.

Chelsea’s stance on Colwill is that the centre-back is not for sale and is part of the club’s long-term project but Brighton are refusing to give up on signing Colwill.
