Chelsea right-back Reece James has urged Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly to keep Mason Mount at the club as everyone will be sad to see the England international leave.

Mount has rejected several contract offers from Chelsea and has reportedly agreed personal terms with Premier League rival Manchester United.

The England international will enter the final year of his contract next month and Chelsea are open to selling him this summer to avoid losing him for free next season.

Asked to give his views on Mount’s potential exit from Chelsea, James told Sky Sports: “If he goes, everyone will be sad to see him go.”
