£80million player favours move to Arsenal over Chelsea

According to a report on Metro, Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo favours a move to Arsenal over Chelsea this summer due to their participation in the Champions League.

Arsenal and Chelsea are both interested in signing the Ecuador midfielder and it is believed Brighton want £80million for the 21 year old midfielder.

The Blues had multiple bids rejected for the Ecuadorian in January and Chelsea is expected to intensify the club’s interest in the Brighton star after missing out on Sporting Lisbon midfielder Manuel Ugarte.

Meanwhile, Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi has admitted Brighton will lose midfielders Moises Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister this summer.

De Zerbi told Sky Sports: “We will lose some players, maybe Caicedo or maybe Mac Allister. We need to bring in some other good players. For Mitoma and Estupinan, they need to stay with us I don’t know if they are ready to play with big teams. You have to be ready in the head and we can offer them the chance to improve.”
