According to German media outlet Bild, Real Madrid are set to quickly complete a deal for Chelsea forward Kai Havertz as replacement for Karim Benzema.

Benzema (35), second top scorer in Real history after Ronaldo, is leaving Madrid after 14 years and 25 titles. His contract is expiring and will not be renewed.

Havertz opted against joining Real Madrid three years ago to seal a move to Chelsea but the Spanish side could now finally get the German international this summer with Chelsea willing to sell for the right price.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti and Real Madrid president Florentino Perez are both huge fans of Havertz and are both working to seal a move for Havertz.
