Former Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has given his verdict on new Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Fabregas told The Athletic: “I think he seems like a very reasonable man, very calm — that gives a lot of confidence to younger players — and has a good structure and has a staff that he trusts so much.

“I hope he’s the right man to bring back Chelsea to the position where they belong.”

Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone believes Joao Felix can be an important player for Barcelona after Chelsea opted against signing him permanently following his loan spell at the club.

Felix joined Chelsea on loan in January but new Chelsea boss Pochettino has opted against signing him permanently.

Simeone told Partidazo Cope: “He would be very important for them (Barça). He has huge qualities, he shoots well with his left foot, is good with his head, with his right foot and has an eye for the game. He will be what he wants to be. I have no problem with anyone.”
