According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City have opened talks to sign Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic this summer.

Romano also adds that positive discussions have taken place in the last few days between Manchester City and the representatives of Kovacic over personal terms.

Kovacic has one year left on his Chelsea contract and Chelsea is open to selling the midfielder this summer to avoid losing him as a free agent next summer.
