According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Italian giants AC Milan are close to reaching an agreement with Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek over a longer-term contract.

The 27 year old Chelsea academy graduate has just one year left on his contract and the Blues want to cash in on him this summer to avoid losing him as a free agent next year.

Romano also adds that talks between AC Milan and Chelsea are ongoing to reach full agreement on fee with all parties hopeful and optimistic.
