Following Thursday’s 4-1 defeat at Manchester United, Chelsea interim manager Frank Lampard has said Chelsea must rebuild this summer despite spending £600million on new players.

Despite spending €600million on new players in the last two transfer windows, Chelsea is 12th in the Premier League table and will finish the season in the bottom half of the table.

Lampard said: “It’s a bad year for the club. The important thing is you get to the bottom of how it improves. It needs a rebuild, the club will move on in the summer in terms of the squad. Things need to improve to get to the level.”

Chelsea will definitely rebuild but without Lampard. I just hope Lampard won’t influence the incoming manager on the quality players because his choice of players is pathetic. No sane coach can make Callagher a key player and think they can win
