Chelsea interim manager Frank Lampard was asked if Mason Mount feels like a lost cause for Chelsea and whether he has played his last game for the club with the midfielder currently injured.

Lampard said: “A lost cause? I don’t know. That’s not my answer to make. That’s between Mason and the club.”

Mount has just one year left on his Chelsea contract and has so far failed to reach an agreement with Chelsea over a new contract.

The midfielder is reportedly attracting interest from Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal.
