Jamie Redknapp has explained why Chelsea won’t challenge for the Premier League title next season despite Mauricio Pochettino’s arrival.
Asked if he believed Chelsea could compete with Man City next season, Redknapp told Sky Sports: “No, not next season.
“I think they will be a long way off. It’s going to take a few years for Chelsea to get in that position again.
“I don’t see who can compete with Man City right now, they’re going to get stronger and stronger.
“They’re incredible – if you like football, you like this team. There’s nothing to dislike about the way they play. It’s total football, they’re a joy.”
