According to The Athletic, Chelsea will look to improve the spine of the team, with a new goalkeeper, central midfielder and a centre-forward signed this summer.

Chelsea are also open to welcoming Romelu Lukaku back to the club after a season on loan at Inter Milan.

The report also adds that the amount of business Chelsea do this summer will depend on how successful the Blues are with player sales.

According to The Athletic, some of the players on Chelsea’s transfer shortlist are:

Goalkeeper: Andre Onana (Inter), Emiliano Martinez (Aston Villa), David Raya (Brentford), Robert Sanchez (Brighton).

Midfield: Moises Caicedo, Alexis Mac Allister (both Brighton), Romeo Lavia (Southampton), Declan Rice (West Ham).

Striker: Victor Osimhen (Napoli), Tammy Abraham (Roma), Lautaro Martinez (Inter), Rasmus Hojlund (Atalanta).
