According to The Telegraph via Metro, incoming Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino is open to working with Romelu Lukaku at Chelsea.

Lukaku has spent the current season on loan at Inter Milan after struggling in his debut season at Chelsea under Thomas Tuchel.

While Pochettino is open to working with Lukaku at Chelsea, the forward must be keen to reintegrate into the squad at Stamford Bridge.

Talks will be held over Lukaku’s future after the Champions League final and the report adda that it is far from clear which way they will go.

Lukaku will be asked whether he wants to return to west London and work with new manager Pochettino, but if he does not then it is not guaranteed that he will be able to stay at Inter.

It is likely the 30-year-old would prefer to remain in Milan, but Inter may not be able to afford the same deal that took him on loan this season, or be able to sign him permanently.
