Incoming Chelsea boss Maurico Pochettino has already identified the striker he wants to sign this summer, according to a report on Metro.

Chelsea have struggled to score goals this season and Pochettino is pushing for Chelsea to sign Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez.

Pochettino reportedly prefers signing the Argentine World Cup winner to signing Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, who has also been linked with a move to Chelsea.

The Inter forward is just three goals behind Osimhen in the scoring charts, with his latest strike against Sassuolo taking him to 20 goals for the season.

World Cup winner Martinez also has five assists, meaning he has averaged a goal involvement every 96 minutes, while he has netted twice in the Champions League.
