Incoming Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has identified Chelsea star Mason Mount as a key player in his Chelsea team, according to Daily Mail.
The report adds: “Mount, who will miss the rest of the season after undergoing an abdomen operation, is entering the final 12 months of his current deal with no agreement over an extension close.
“Chelsea may have no option but to consider offers for Mount this summer to avoid the prospect of losing the England international on a free transfer, with Liverpool and Arsenal among the clubs interested.
“However, Pochettino, who is expected to become the next Chelsea head coach, has identified the 24-year-old as a someone who can play an integral role in his team next season.
“The Argentine is a big admirer of Mount’s ability on the ball and work-ethic and feels the Blues academy graduate would suit the style he wants to implement.”
