Chelsea and Premier League rivals Manchester City are set to battle for the transfer of Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia this summer, according to talkSPORT.

The report adds: “The Blues are one of a number of clubs tracking Southampton’s teenage sensation Romeo Lavia, who is set to be one of the most sought-after players this summer.

“Lavia’s old club Manchester City have a buy-back option on the £50million rated midfielder but that does not kick in until the end of next season.

“With City also likely to miss out on Bellingham, they could try and re-sign the Belgium international a year early.”
