According to Evening Standard via Metro.co.uk, Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek is reluctant to leave Chelsea and would have to be forced out by incoming manager Mauricio Pochettino this summer.

Loftus-Cheek will enter the final year of his contract at the end of the season and Chelsea want to cash in on the midfielder with the club under pressure to comply with Uefa’s new financial sustainability.

Italian club AC Milan are among the clubs interested in signing Loftus-Cheek in the summer and they hope to convince him to join former Chelsea teammate Fikayo Tomori at the club.

However, AC Milan will be unable to pay the £150,000-a-week wages Loftus-Cheek earns at Chelsea, with the midfielder needing to take a pay cut to facilitate a move to San Siro.

Mateo Kovacic, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech, Edouard Mendy and Kalidou Koulibaly will also be made available.

Conor Gallagher, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Trevoh Chalobah could also be sold as part of the clear-out.
